This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Efandex collects, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. It applies to everyone who uses the Efandex app or website, whether as a Host, a Guest, or simply browsing. By using Efandex, you agree to this Policy.

2. Information We Collect

Information you give us

  • Name, email address, phone number.
  • Government ID or identity-verification information (for Host identity verification).
  • Property address and Listing details, if you're a Host.
  • Payment and payout information — collected and stored by Stripe, not by Efandex directly.
  • Photos and descriptions you upload for a Listing or profile.
  • Messages you send through the app to a Host or Guest.

Information collected automatically

  • Device information (device type, operating system, unique identifiers).
  • Usage data (pages/screens viewed, features used, time spent, crash logs).
  • Approximate or precise location, where needed to show nearby Spaces or calculate location-based tax.
  • IP address and general technical/network information.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To create and manage your account and Listings.
  • To process Bookings, payments, and Payouts through Stripe.
  • To calculate applicable taxes based on a Space's location.
  • To send transactional communications (booking confirmations, cancellations, payout notices) and, if you opt in, marketing messages.
  • To verify Host identity and help prevent fraud.
  • To provide customer support and resolve disputes.
  • To improve the app, analyze usage trends, and maintain security.
  • To comply with legal obligations, including tax reporting.

4. How We Share Your Information

Stripe (payment processor)To process payments, Payouts, identity verification, and fraud checks. Efandex does not store full card numbers.
Other usersA Host and Guest see each other's name and relevant Booking details needed to complete an Event.
Service providersCloud hosting, analytics, customer support, and similar vendors who process data on our behalf.
Legal & safetyWhen required by law, to enforce our Terms, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Efandex, our users, or the public.
Business transfersIf Efandex is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, with notice to you beforehand.

Note: Efandex does not sell your personal information to third parties.

5. Data Retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active, and afterward for as long as needed to meet legal, tax, accounting, or dispute-resolution obligations. Booking and payment records are typically retained longer than general account data to satisfy financial recordkeeping requirements.

6. Your Rights and Choices

  • Access or update your information through your account settings.
  • Request a copy of your data or ask us to delete it, subject to legal retention requirements.
  • Opt out of marketing emails or push notifications at any time — transactional messages about your own Bookings can't be turned off.
  • Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights (for example, under GDPR in the EU/UK or the CCPA in California), including the right to know what's collected, to correct it, or to request deletion.

7. Data Security

We use industry-standard safeguards — encryption in transit and at rest, restricted internal access, and tokenized payment handling through Stripe — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

8. Children's Privacy

Efandex is not directed to anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn we've collected information from someone under 18 without appropriate consent, we'll delete it.

9. International Data Transfers

Your information may be processed in the United States or other countries where Efandex or its service providers operate, which may have different data protection laws than your own. We take reasonable steps to protect your information wherever it's processed.

10. Cookies and Tracking

Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and understand how the site is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

11. Additional Privacy Rights (California, EU/UK)

If you're a California resident, you have specific rights under the CCPA/CPRA (to know, delete, correct, and opt out of sale/sharing of your information). If you're located in the EEA or UK, you have specific rights under GDPR (access, correction, deletion, portability, objection, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority). 12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Efandex grows. We'll post the updated version with a new effective date and, for material changes, notify you in the app.
